Lifeguard
The City of Fairfax is seeking friendly and responsible candidates to fill part-time, seasonal lifeguard positions. This position will be responsible for monitoring pool operations, supervising pool guests and various other duties. This position is anticipated to work a varied schedule, averaging 20-40 hours per week, including nights and weekends. Starting hourly pay ranges from $13.25-$14.48 based on experience. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and be certified as a lifeguard by pool opening day. Links to a full job description and employment application are below. Lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor
The City of Fairfax is seeking friendly and responsible candidates to fill part-time, seasonal lifeguard/water safety instructor positions. This position will be responsible for monitoring pool operations, supervising pool guests, teaching youth swimming lessons and various other duties. This position is anticipated to work a varied schedule, averaging 20-40 hours per week, including nights and weekends. Starting hourly pay ranges from $14-$15.30 based on experience and $35/student for private swimming lessons. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and be certified as a lifeguard by pool opening day and be able to become a certified water safety instructor by June 12th, 2026.
